Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has hinted that new Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho might not spend more than three years at the club, Soccernet.ng reports.
After weeks of speculation, it was confirmed that Real Madrid had sealed the appointment of legendary Portuguese tactician Mourinho for a second stint.
The former Chelsea manager has reportedly signed a three-year deal that will keep him there until June 2029.
This is an appointment that has been heavily heralded by the football world, as the 63-year-old tactician is expected to shake things up at the club after a largely disappointing campaign. Los Blancos, for all of their talent, are set to have a trophyless season, the first time since the 2009/10 campaign.

There has been a lot of talk about indiscipline at the club, and Mourinho is believed to be the right man to correct the issues.
Sunday Oliseh's Thoughts About Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid
Jose Mourinho is expected to start work on July 1. And ahead of the beginning of his stint, Super Eagles legend Oliseh shared his thoughts on how Mourinho would perform at Real Madrid.

He noted that while the former Chelsea boss has the domineering power to stamp his authority, he has a tendency to implode or burn out.
“Sadly, there’s the third-year burnout, like at Manchester United and Spurs. Mourinho needs external enemies to thrive, and when he has none, he looks inside,” Oliseh said.
The former Super Eagles star, however, noted that Real Madrid have a very good shot at winning silverware under Mourinho due to his rich track record. Recall that he won trophies at his previous clubs like Chelsea, Inter Milan, and even at Manchester United.

“Jose Mourinho is a mercenary; he doesn’t want your love, he wants your respect.
“He doesn’t build for the next decade, Jose builds for the next ninety minutes.
“In 2010, against Barcelona, Mourinho had Samuel Eto’o, one of the greatest strikers in history, playing as a literal left-back,” the 51-year-old continued.
“Eto’o’s defensive contribution disrupted Barcelona’s build-up play big time in critical phases.
“Jose convinced a superstar that defending was more important than scoring on that occasion. That is his power.
“His Chelsea side conceded 15 goals in a Premier League season. Mourinho’s teams are the masters of the dark arts.”
Real Madrid fans will be hoping that their new coach succeeds and returns the club to the pinnacle of Spanish football.
