Christantus Uche aims dig at former Manchester United target in exit message

Super Eagles midfielder Christantus Uche has taken a slight dig at his current boss, Oliver Glasner, following his lack of game time at Crystal Palace, Soccernet.ng reports.

Uche joined Crystal Palace from Getafe on a season-long loan last summer following an impressive debut campaign in La Liga.

Unfortunately for him, he has gone from being one of the best players in Spain to struggling to even make the bench in England.

Uche has only featured in 22 games, and most of those have been from the bench. He has not started a single game in the Premier League this season.

The transfer was initially supposed to be a loan deal with an obligation-to-buy. However, things have not panned out well for him, as he did not meet the requirements for triggering a permanent move.

Recently, Getafe sporting director Toni Muñoz confirmed that Uche would be returning to the club in the summer, effectively ending any hopes that he would remain at Crystal Palace.

Christantus Uche Calls Out Oliver Glasner

Christantus Uche is set to leave Crystal Palace in a few weeks, as there are just two games left to play.

He appeared in an interview recently and spoke briefly about his time with the Eagles. Interestingly, Uche inferred that Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner doesn't like him, and that this has affected his minutes.

“I may not have much playing time, but I am grateful for the fans who continue to support me and the team,” Uche told Our CPFC.

”Your dedication and enthusiasm mean a lot, and I hope to make you proud whenever I do get the chance to play; but I know maybe it won’t happen again because the coach doesn’t like me.”

Over the last two years, Glasner has been one of the most highly rated coaches in England, leading Crystal Palace to the FA Cup.

His brilliance has even earned him links with some of the top clubs in the world, such as Manchester United and Chelsea.

However, his reason for consistently benching Uche is a head-scratcher.

Nonetheless, the Super Eagles star will be looking to leave London and get back to his best at Getafe.
