The long-running feud between Nigerian rap stars Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck has taken a dramatic legal turn, with Blaqbonez filing a ₦2 billion defamation suit against his fellow rapper over allegations he says have damaged his reputation and career. According to legal documents dated July 7, 2026, Blaqbonez is seeking ₦2 billion in general damages, along with additional aggravated damages, claiming Odumodublvck engaged in a sustained campaign of defamatory statements, harassment, intimidation, and threats.

The lawsuit stems from a series of social media posts in which Odumodublvck allegedly referred to Blaqbonez as a “sexual abuser” and made other serious accusations. Blaqbonez has strongly denied the allegations, describing them as false, malicious, and defamatory. His legal team is also requesting that the court order Odumodublvck to delete the posts, issue a public apology, and refrain from making further statements about the rapper. As of the time of writing, Odumodublvck has not publicly responded to the lawsuit, and the allegations remain before the court.

Ironically, the two rappers were once collaborators before their relationship deteriorated. They previously worked together on songs including “Tesla Boy,” “Dollerz,” and Technician, showcasing the chemistry they once shared in Nigeria’s hip-hop scene.

However, the tension between both artists did not begin with “ACL.” The feud started in early 2025 when Odumodublvck confidently stated that no rap project could match his 2023 tape Eziokwu. Many fans interpreted the comment as a subtle jab at Blaqbonez, whose album Emeka Must Shine had also enjoyed success. Although no artist was mentioned directly, the message created tension, and Blaqbonez appeared to respond by referencing his song “Consistency” in a social media post. What began as competitive energy between two rappers who had previously collaborated soon developed into a public rivalry.

The disagreement later moved from social media into music, with both rappers exchanging lyrical shots. Odumodublvck released tracks such as “2:02 PM IN LONDON,” while Blaqbonez responded with “ACL” from his No Excuses album.

The situation became even more complicated in 2026 when reports surfaced that Odumodublvck’s team had allegedly gained control of the beat used for “ACL.” According to reports, the beat was not properly cleared at the time of release, and Odumodublvck’s team later secured the rights from the producer. The development reportedly affected the song’s availability on streaming platforms and changed the control of the track’s royalties. Odumodublvck later reacted online, suggesting that his side had taken control of the situation.

Beyond the music and competition, Odumodublvck has maintained that the issue is not simply a rap battle. He explained that the conflict came from a personal matter involving someone close to him who had allegedly faced online abuse, threats, and personal attacks. According to the rapper, he stepped in after attempts to handle the situation privately failed, adding that the matter had been wrongly reduced to entertainment and a simple rap beef. In 2026, Blaqbonez released a new version of his track “ACL” on the deluxe edition of his album No Excuses (Deluxe). The updated song comes with a new beat and a fresh verse, and fans have quickly identified it as another direct response in their long-running rap feud.

On the track, Blaqbonez appears to take several shots at Odumodublvck, addressing past disagreements, social media exchanges, and their competition for recognition in Nigeria’s hip-hop scene. The lyrics sparked heavy conversations online, with fans debating the intensity of the attack and comparing the strategy behind the diss to the way top international rappers use battle records to create major moments.
