Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) will return for its 11th season on Sunday, July 26, with the winner taking home a prize package worth ₦160 million.
MultiChoice announced the new season at a press briefing on Wednesday, confirming that the launch show will air from 7 pm on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family. The 24-hour live feed will run on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 49, with streaming available on DStv Stream and GOtv Stream.
The winner’s package comprises ₦100 million in cash and a new SUV. It surpasses the ₦150 million package offered last season, which was won by Opeyemi Ayanwale, better known as Imisi, after she outlasted 28 other housemates in a finale held on October 5, 2025.
Atinuke Babatunde, MultiChoice’s Executive Head of Content and Channels for West Africa, said the BBNaija franchise has reshaped entertainment on the continent through authentic storytelling and personalities that connect with millions of viewers. She said Season 11 raises the stakes with new twists and a housemate mix intended to hold audiences from premiere night to the finale.
Betting company BetPawa joins the show as headline sponsor for the new BBNaija season. Guinness returns as gold sponsor, and Minimie comes on board as associate sponsor.
Borah Omary Ndanyungu, betPawa’s Head of Local Marketing and CSR, said the company was proud to sign on as headline sponsor of what he described as one of Africa’s most celebrated entertainment properties, and promised rewards for fans and deeper engagement across the season. Atinuke Babatunde said the sponsor line-up reflects the BBNaija’s continued value and reach.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu returns as host, a role he has held since the show’s second edition in 2017. Preparations for the BBNaija season began in May with online registration, followed by physical auditions in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu from May 22 to 24. Entry was free and open to applicants aged 21 and above with a valid means of identification.
Eligible DStv and GOtv subscribers will vote for housemates through the MyDStv and MyGOtv self-service apps, with additional voting benefits for subscribers who upgrade their packages.
Big Brother Naija is the Nigerian adaptation of the Big Brother format created by Dutch media company Endemol. It first aired in 2006, went on an 11-year hiatus, and returned in 2017.
