Nigerian content creator and streamer Carter Efe has been selected for Kai Cenat’s Streamer University Class of 2026, earning a spot in one of the most competitive streaming programmes in the world.
Kai Cenat recently unveiled the list of 120 creators who made this year’s class after receiving many applications from aspiring streamers across the globe. The selected students include popular internet personalities such as Skai Jackson, Queen Naija, Sara Saffari, StableRonaldo, PlaqueBoyMax, Sketch, and JasonTheWeen.
Streamer University was launched by Kai Cenat in 2025 to help upcoming creators improve their content and grow their careers. The programme brings together selected creators for several days of training, collaborations and livestreaming sessions with some of the biggest names in the industry. Participants learn how to create better content, engage with audiences, build their personal brands, collaborate with other creators and turn content creation into a successful business.
Although the programme is called a university, it is not a traditional school. Instead, it is an immersive bootcamp where creators learn from experienced streamers while creating content together, giving them exposure to millions of viewers around the world.
For Africa, two creators made the final list, Carter Efe and Damii, both from Nigeria. The two creators have each built loyal online communities through different styles of content. Carter Efe first gained widespread attention with his comedy skits before branching into music with one of his hit songs, ‘Machala.’ Now he’s doing well in livestreaming by inviting artists, creators, and others to his streams, which makes it engaging and exciting, and he’s becoming one of Nigeria’s biggest internet personalities at the moment. Damii, who is a Nigerian American, on the other hand, has built a strong following through gaming, lifestyle content, and interactive livestreams. Their inclusion in this year’s Streamer University allows them to showcase their talents to an even larger international audience.
The programme, which is the Streamers University by Kai Cenat, has already proven to be a career-changing opportunity for Nigerian creator Shank Comics, who was among the standout participants in the inaugural edition in 2025, as he was among the Streamers University participants such as DDG, Duke Dennis, India Love, and Enzo (Nigerian streamer). While Shank was already popular for his comedy videos before joining, his appearance at Streamer University introduced him to a much larger international audience. His collaborations with Kai Cenat and other top creators helped him gain thousands of new followers, while his entertaining personality made him one of the breakout stars of the event. His growing popularity also led to a $10,000 cash gift from YouTube star MrBeast, further cementing his rise as one of Africa’s biggest streamers.
