Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek has taken a firm stance on the future of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen amid transfer speculations ahead of the summer window, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian forward has remained one of the most talked-about names in the transfer market, with European giants including Barcelona and Atletico Madrid among the clubs circling for his signature.
Osimhen has long attracted attention from elite clubs due to his standout performances and goalscoring return. Back in 2024, when an exit from Italian side Napoli was on the table, he turned down a lucrative offer from the Saudi Pro League, choosing instead to remain in Europe.
He also had a proposed move to Premier League heavyweights Chelsea that eventually collapsed over personal terms. Shortly after, he joined Galatasaray on an initial loan deal, which was later made permanent for a Turkish record fee of €75 million last summer.

Since arriving in Turkey, Osimhen has quickly become a fan favourite and has impressed with his performances, scoring 59 goals in 74 appearances across all competitions and helping the club secure three titles – two Super Lig titles and one Turkish Cup crown.
Dursun Özbek shuts down Osimhen exit talk
While Osimhen has repeatedly expressed his admiration for Galatasaray fans and his willingness to continue at the club, the Turkish champions have also made their position clear; they do not want to sell their star striker.
The Cimbom recently rejected a €120 million offer from Atletico Madrid, proving their determination to keep the Super Eagles forward.
Head coach Okan Buruk has also insisted there are no concrete exit plans, and president Dursun Özbek has now made the stance even clearer, stating the club would not consider a sale even if the offer reaches €150 million.

“We didn't buy Osimhen to sell. We have a football player who adds a lot of value to Galatasaray and loves Galatasaray very much”, Özbek said, via Forza Cimbom.
“We want him to serve Galatasaray for many years. Osimhen is also very happy at Galatasaray.”
What next for Osimhen?
Super Eagles striker Osimhen continues to dominate transfer headlines ahead of the summer window, with uncertainty still surrounding his long-term future as questions linger over his next move.
His impact during his short spell in Turkey has been undeniable, which explains the strong interest from top European clubs. However, Galatasaray’s latest stance suggests they are unwilling to entertain any offers and expect him to remain at the club.

This is a major setback for Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, with the Spanish sides hoping to secure a deal this summer. Atletico Madrid had already seen an offer rejected and may now be forced to look elsewhere, while Barcelona would need to intensify their efforts in finding a replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
Osimhen himself has not pushed for a move and has expressed that he remains happy at the club. He will now be focused on continuing his prolific goalscoring form and helping the club achieve more trophies in the coming season.
