The Podcast category acknowledged the rise of audio storytelling, highlighting shows like “I Said What I Said”, “Off Air with Gbemi & Toolz”, and personalities such as Joey Akan and Toke Makinwa for shaping conversations in pop culture, society, and media.
Speaking at the unveiling, Oluwatosin Ajibade, Convener of the New Media Conference and Founder of OloriSuperGal, described the honorees as “bold visionaries who are not just observing the evolution of Nigeria’s media landscape but actively shaping it.”
“The NMC 100 Disruptors represent courage, creativity, and innovation,” Ajibade said. “They have proven that disruption isn’t about breaking things — it’s about building better futures.”
This year’s conference, themed “A Decade of Disrupting New Media: Shaping Africa’s Future,” underscored NMC’s mission to spotlight pioneers driving transformation across the continent’s media landscape.
Founded in 2015, the New Media Conference has become a premier platform for digital and marketing professionals to share insights, discuss trends, and foster collaboration within Africa’s creative ecosystem.
