Paul Onuachu’s latest photos fuel transfer rumours: Trabzonspor future certain?

A recent photo of Southampton-owned Super Eagles attacker Paul Onuachu has further fueled speculation about his potential stay at Trabzonspor, Soccernet.ng reports.

The former KRC Genk player was seen celebrating his 30th birthday with his fellow Super Eagles teammates, cutting a cake adorned with Trabzonspor’s logo.

This picture has intensified rumours within the football community about whether the Nigerian attacker plans to remain in Turkey for another season, despite Trabzonspor not meeting Southampton’s demands.

During his successful loan spell at the Trabzon-based club, Onuachu regained his form, contributing significantly with 15 goals and four assists in 21 league appearances.

There is growing interest in keeping the Nigerian international for another season at the Papara Park.

Trabzonspor has expressed a strong desire to extend Onuachu’s stay, and the Super Eagles attacker himself has publicly stated his willingness to remain.

“I am very happy in Trabzon. My family and I want to stay here,” he said as quoted by Saints Socialite.

However, negotiations have stalled as Southampton appears reluctant to accept Trabzonspor’s offer, which includes covering the player’s salary for the upcoming season along with a €2.5 million rental fee.

Onuachu’s loan spell in Trabzon has expired, and his birthday photo has further sparked speculation about his future at the Turkish club.
