Former BBC Radio 1 and Capital Xtra DJ Tim Westwood is facing two additional sexual offence charges, bringing the total number of charges against him to 17 involving nine women.
The Metropolitan Police said the latest charges relate to alleged non-recent offences involving two women in London.
Westwood, 68, is accused of indecently assaulting a girl aged 16 or 17 in Hammersmith and Fulham in 1991. He is also accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman in Wandsworth in 2004.
The new allegations come on top of 15 charges brought against Westwood in October 2025 involving seven women. Those charges include four counts of rape, nine counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual assault.
Westwood has previously denied multiple allegations of sexual offences, including rape and sexual assault. He pleaded not guilty to the original charges in December 2025.
Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy said the women who reported the allegations had placed their trust in the Metropolitan Police and that the force remained committed to supporting them.
The Crown Prosecution Service said prosecutors authorised the two additional charges following the police investigation, after determining there was sufficient evidence and that further proceedings were in the public interest.
Westwood is expected to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court at a future date in connection with the latest charges.
Meanwhile, his trial over the original 15 charges is scheduled to begin at Southwark Crown Court on 25 January 2027.
The CPS stressed that the criminal proceedings are active and that Westwood has the right to a fair trial.
