Davido is bringing his global journey full circle with the announcement of a historic three-night residency at The National Theatre in Lagos, Nigeria, taking place from December 17–19.
The announcement comes alongside an official residency trailer and the release of the music video for his standout track, “On The Road,” setting the stage for what promises to be a major homecoming moment for one of Africa’s biggest music stars.
Davido’s three-night residency will mark the first time he brings his new album, ORIADÉ, to life onstage in Lagos. The event also places him among the first Afrobeats artists to stage a residency of this scale in Nigeria, adding another milestone to a career already defined by global achievements.
The Lagos homecoming arrives as Davido celebrates 15 years in music. Returning to the city that has played a central role in his rise from an emerging artist to one of Africa’s most influential global stars, the residency is set to celebrate both his musical evolution and his deep connection to Nigeria.
Taking place at one of Lagos’ most iconic cultural institutions, the concerts will feature live performances from ORIADÉ alongside some of Davido’s biggest career-defining hits. Special guest appearances are also expected throughout the three evenings, creating a celebration that brings together music, culture and Nigerian excellence.
The residency announcement is accompanied by the official music video for “On The Road,” a visual that offers an intimate glimpse into Davido’s life in constant motion. Built around real-life moments from the past year, the video captures his travels around the world, including stops on his 5IVE ALIVE World Tour in Nigeria, Toronto and New York.
The video also features moments from the opening ceremony of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Davido’s historic Coachella debut and his appearances at Paris Fashion Week, reflecting the nonstop pace of a career that has taken him from Lagos to some of the world’s biggest stages.
In the context of his upcoming Lagos residency, “On The Road” takes on an even deeper meaning. After 15 years spent traveling the world, Davido is returning home to the city where his story began.
