Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate Nomy has been disqualified from the ongoing 2026 season for repeatedly defying Big Brother’s instructions.
Shortly after Monday evening’s nomination process for possible eviction, Big Brother summoned the housemates to the lounge and addressed Nomy’s continued violation of house rules.
Biggie cited her decision to leave her assigned bench and vest behind in the arena after she was selected to serve as this week’s bench warmer following her poor performance in the Head of House (HoH) games.
According to Big Brother, Nomy had been instructed to take the items with her but deliberately refused to comply.
Biggie subsequently announced that Nomy’s privilege to participate in the reality show had been revoked and gave her 30 minutes to pack her belongings and leave the house.
Nomy had previously received a strike in the second week of the show for a similar offence. At the time, Big Brother described the punishment as her “last and final warning,” stressing that all house rules, instructions and corresponding sanctions must be strictly followed.
The 2026 season premiered on July 26 with 24 housemates. The winner is set to receive a record-breaking ₦160 million grand prize, the largest prize in the show’s history since its debut in 2006.
