Jaafar Jackson is wasting no time building on the momentum of his breakout performance in Michael. Fresh off portraying his late uncle, Michael Jackson, in the record-breaking biopic, the rising star has secured his next major Hollywood role.
Jackson has joined the cast of Supermax, an action thriller from Amazon MGM Studios and Miramax, starring opposite Academy Award winner Will Smith. AnnaSophia Robb is also set to star, with David Gordon Green directing from a screenplay by David Weil and David J. Rosen.

Amazon MGM Studios is finalizing a worldwide distribution deal with Miramax following negotiations brokered by CAA Media Finance. The thriller is expected to debut on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories after production begins.
