Grammy-nominated singer Ayra Starr has released her highly anticipated third studio album, Starrgirl.
The 16-track album was released on Friday and is now available on major streaming platforms. The project features a mix of Afrobeats, R&B and other sounds, with appearances from some of the biggest names in music, including Wizkid, Rema, ZAYN, KWN, Leon Thomas, Theodora and Danny Ocean.
Ayra Starr described Starrgirl as a very personal project that reflects her growth as a woman and an artist. In a message to fans, she said she was proud of the person she had become while making the album and thanked everyone who supported her journey.
The album includes songs such as “Dangerous,” “Amazing” featuring KWN, “Gimme Dat” featuring Wizkid, “Pressure” featuring Leon Thomas, “Tornado,” “Midnight in New York,” “Hot Body,” “Dance,” “Where Do We Go,” “Who’s Dat Girl” featuring Rema, “Misunderstood,” “Letter to God,” “Heaven Baby” featuring ZAYN, “Treasure” and “Hot Body (Remix)” featuring Danny Ocean.
Starrgirl comes after the release of her singles “Where Do We Go” and “Who’s Dat Girl.” Ayra previously revealed that “Who’s Dat Girl” was inspired by her experience in an unhealthy relationship.
Born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, Ayra Starr first gained major attention with her 2021 hit “Bloody Samaritan.” She released her debut album, 19 & Dangerous, in 2021, which helped establish her as one of the leading young voices in Afrobeats.
She followed it with her second album, The Year I Turned 21, in 2024. The project showed her growth as an artist and helped strengthen her position on the global music scene.
