Super Eagles and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has been named the best striker in the World, above the likes of Harry Kane and Manchester City's Erling Haaland, Soccernet.ng reports.
Former Galatasaray right back Przemyslaw Frankowski has placed the ex-Napoli forward at the top of Europe's elite finishers after a campaign that saw him become the highest-scoring Nigerian in the UEFA Champions League.
Osimhen enjoyed another outstanding campaign in Turkey last season, helping Galatasaray secure the Turkish Super Lig title, scoring 22 goals and providing six assists in 33 games across all competitions for Okan Buruk's side.

Victor Osimhen ranked as the best striker in the World
Speaking to Polish outlet Onet, Frankowski reflected on his time at Galatasaray and reserved special praise for the Nigerian international.
“Galatasaray is a huge and fantastic club that can create an atmosphere that is difficult to describe.
“I had a great time there, winning the league title and the Turkish Cup,” Frankowski said in quotes revealed by Fanatik.
“I'm playing on loan at Rennes until June 2027, and I'm 100% focused on that right now. But we know that in football, everything can change at once.”

“You're going into the locker room at Galatasaray, and you're thinking, “Wow, I've been watching these guys on TV until yesterday, and now we're playing on the same team.”
“The first thing that caught my attention was that they all had incredible confidence in their own talents.
“You could feel that trust. But there were constant smiles, laughter, jokes in the environment; everyone was comfortable, there was no unnecessary tension.”
Although the Polish international focused primarily on his Galatasaray experience, he highlighted his admiration for Osimhen, with the defender describing the Nigerian as one of the best players he has shared a dressing room with.
“Victor Osimhen, a world-class centre forward, he is perhaps one of the best five forwards in the world,” the 31-year-old continued.
“It really amazes how well he is always prepared for the games and his endless ambition for scoring goals. I can talk about each of them [Galatasaray players] for hours.”

The comments add to the growing belief among players and pundits that Osimhen belongs in the conversation alongside the world's elite strikers.
The 27-year-old has consistently delivered goals across multiple leagues, having impressed in Belgium, France, Italy and now Turkey.
His performances have often led to comparisons with some of Europe's biggest names, including Haaland and Kane.
While Haaland remains one of football's most prolific finishers and Kane continues to thrive with Bayern Munich, Osimhen's all-round attributes have earned him global recognition.

Is Osimhen better than Harry Kane and Erling Haaland?
From a pure goalscoring perspective, both Harry Kane and Erling Haaland still hold the edge over the Super Eagles striker. Kane has consistently produced extraordinary numbers in Germany and England, while Haaland's goals-per-game ratio is almost unmatched in modern football.
However, football is about far more than goals alone. Osimhen arguably offers qualities that neither striker possesses to the same extent. The Nigerian is one of the most dominant aerial forwards in world football, regularly winning duels against physically imposing defenders despite not being the tallest centre-forward in Europe.
His pressing ability is another major advantage. Unlike Kane, who often operates from deep and crashes the box for late strikes, or Haaland, who conserves energy for attacking phases, Osimhen relentlessly harries defenders and goalkeepers, often setting the tone for his team's pressing style.

The former Napoli star also combines pace, aggression, and physicality in a way that makes him very difficult to contain.
Calling him the outright best striker in the world is open to debate, especially considering the remarkable numbers recorded by Kane and Haaland, but Frankowski's assessment is far from exaggerated.
At the very least, Osimhen has firmly established himself among the world's elite forwards, and outside of Kane and Haaland, perhaps only Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez can genuinely claim to be in the same conversation.
