A Super Eagles star could be heading to Turkish Süper Lig giants Fenerbahce this summer as the transfer market heats up, Soccernet.ng reports.
Fenerbahçe has been very busy this summer. They first appointed coach İsmail Kartal as Zeki Murat Göle's successor, then signed Vedat Muriqi from Mallorca. However, they are not done yet.
A potential signing for them this summer is Nigeria defender Bright Osayi-Samuel. He parted ways with the Yellow Canaries only last summer following the expiration of his contract.

Osayi-Samuel joined Championship club Birmingham City, but he failed to help the club secure promotion to the Premier League.
Now, he appears eager to return to Istanbul. According to Milat Spor, the 28-year-old right-back has sent intermediaries to discuss a potential return with Fenerbahçe.
Why Bright Osayi-Samuel is Eager for a Fenerbahçe Return

Bright Osayi-Samuel first joined Fenerbahçe from QPR in 2021, which was where he gained his first experience of top-flight football. He grew to become a fan favorite.
However, he left last summer after months of speculation. It was believed that he left due to the club's refusal to give him a significant pay raise, amid several offers from England.
In an interview last season, however, he admitted that he was satisfied with the club's offer but chose to leave due to issues with his agent. Osayi-Samuel expressed regret at leaving the Yellow Canaries.
Now, having failed to secure a regular starting spot at Birmingham City, he is looking to return to Fenerbahçe, where he used to enjoy regular playing time.

Also, Osayi-Samuel worked with Kartal during his first few years at Fenerbahçe, and the two shared a brilliant relationship. With the Turkish tactician back in charge, the defender is keen on a reunion.
However, a move may prove difficult for Osayi-Samuel. He still has two years remaining on his contract at Birmingham City, and the club will certainly demand a transfer fee.
Meanwhile, there is a possibility that Nélson Semedo will leave Fenerbahçe this summer. If that happens, a spot could open up for Osayi-Samuel.
