Akinloye: Omo iya,
How and when will this tears stop?
This was not part of our dreams or plans!
So much we have been through and still going through but yet even so much more we remain eternally grateful to our God for.
Omo Iya, you fought!
You fought so many battles and God gave you victory, I don’t even know where to start! Is it health-wise or work-wise!
Even when some naysayers were trying to play god, our almighty God always came through for you

Your gift of friendship and our “La familia” brotherhood is one of the best things in my life and i will hold and cherish this for the rest of my life.
Your wise counsel, wisdom, uncanny humor and the way your whole body vibrates while you laugh at our personal jokes will forever remain with me.
I remember our humble beginning; meeting and working for Cosse and the Onabolu’s in the late 90s.
We hit it off as two young, single, and ambitious boys and started pulling each other along, one event. at a time.
From Pintos on Allen to, YNOT and all the early gigs in Ibadan.
Many times in the beginning ,I would put my reputation on the line for clients to book you, and countless times even in my absence you did the same and more for me.
You even ended up being closer friends to some of the clients now turned family that I introduced you to.
Such was the beauty of character that you were Akinloye.
I remember when we migrated SHUGA band from a one man band into a full blown band and the resistance and the many headaches it brought; You my brother just kept soldering on.
You saw the future for live band music and locked into it and ended up paving the way for many others in the industry.
Music aside, your deep and intimate love for your family (Maria, Adebola and Oludara) is another attribute I cherish about you. Intentionally ,you consciously made out time for them at every given opportunity. Distance and workload was never a barrier.
Who would I be teasing again now ?
Who do I discuss and compare notes on industry affairs with again?
No more shouts of , “Deacon, Deacon or God loves me more than the devil hates me”, from that crisp voice of yours while I’m trying to work at events.
Many times at events I just enjoying filming you doing your thing without you knowing, just because I’m proud of your growth and the man you’ve become.
Now I know why God made me take all those pictures and videos every time we worked together.
Hmmmmmmmmm!
Akinloye! This is the hardest thing I’ve ever written or had to do.
I only take solace in the fact that you knew Christ and held on to him till the very end.
Sleep well my brother, my friend, Omo lya mi.
Goodnight Akinloye Omo Tofowomo #Lafamilia.
Tee-A Tunde Adewale.
