“Man United and Arsenal need this player” – Sunday Oliseh warns

Former Juventus and Borussia Dortmund midfielder, Sunday Oliseh, has weighed in on the future of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, Soccernet.ng reports.

Amid the ongoing transfer saga linking Osimhen with a return to Istanbul, the former Super Eagles head coach has urged the Napoli forward to prioritise a move to the Premier League before it's too late.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Oliseh acknowledged that the former LOSC Lille striker is at a very delicate point in his career—where one move could change everything.

“Victor Osimhen is at a very delicate crossroads. He needs to find his way to the Premier League in a hurry or he risks so much regret! Man United and Arsenal need this player if only…”

Osimhen appears to be edging closer to a permanent move to Turkish champions Galatasaray from Napoli. Per reports, the Nigerian attacker said ‘yes’ to staying in Istanbul after a successful loan spell, despite long-standing links to English clubs including Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool.

Negotiations between Galatasaray and Napoli are already in the final stages. According to TuttoNapoli, Galatasaray’s vice president Abdullah Kavukcu is set to arrive in Italy for direct talks with Napoli over a deal.

The Turkish club is reportedly offering to pay Osimhen’s €75 million release clause in three annual installments of €25 million.

Despite Premier League interest lingering for over two seasons, no English club has made a concrete offer this summer.

Manchester United and Liverpool were believed to be closely monitoring his situation, but their hesitation appears to have opened the door for Galatasaray.

Osimhen has reportedly rejected a mind-blowing €160 million package from Saudi club Al Hilal, choosing instead to play UEFA Champions League football with Galatasaray.

Osimhen has made it clear he wants to leave Napoli, but with a move to England now looking increasingly unlikely, Oliseh still believes the striker belongs on a bigger stage, as the same sentiments in the Nigerian football community.

Regardless, Osimhen's move to the Premier League remains uncertain, and as things stands, Turkey looks like his most immediate destination.
