One-time FA Cup winners, Cardiff City, have announced their retainers list ahead of the summer transfer window, parting ways with Super Eagles left-back, Jamilu Collins, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 30-year-old joined the Bluebirds from German side, SC Paderborn in the summer of 2022 for a fee of €1.3m, but his time at the Cardiff City Stadium saw his career embark on a downward trajectory.
Collins suffered cruciate ligament damage a month after he joined the Welsh side, missing about 50 games in that time, and only made his return at the start of a new season.

Another injury knocked him out for almost two months, and he lost his spot in the team. His last game came in November 2024. The club coach, Omar Riza, confirmed the club tried to force the Super Eagles defender out during the transfer window.
Cardiff got relegated to the third tier of English football, finishing last in the EFL Championship, and have now released some of the club's heavyweights.

The 34-year-old was appointed Cardiff interim manager for the final three games of the 2024-25 Championship season after the club sacked Omer Riza, but could not prevent relegation to Sky Bet League One.
The Bluebirds have also confirmed the exits of Jamilu Collins, Raheem Conte, Anwar El Ghazi, Kieron Evans, Dimitrios Goutas and Yakou Meite. The seven players will leave the Welsh club at the end of their contracts on 30 June.
In three seasons for Cardiff City, Collins scored one goal and provided four assists in 44 games across all competitions.
