Nigerian teenage striker Kparobo Ariehri is set to embark on an exciting European adventure, having flown to Norway to finalise a deal with Norwegian club Lillestrøm Sportsklubb, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 17-year-old forward, hailed as one of Nigeria’s brightest young talents, recently captivated fans with his performances for the Flying Eagles at the WAFU B U20 Championships in Togo.
Ariehri’s rise has been remarkable. Just days ago, he played a decisive role in Nigeria’s triumph over Ghana in the WAFU B final, netting twice to secure a 2-1 victory.
His display in that match earned him the Man of the Match award and placed him firmly on the radar of European clubs.
Beyond his recent national success, Ariehri was instrumental in Beyond Limits Academy’s historic Viareggio Cup win earlier this year, where his five goals in six games helped them become the first African team to claim the title.
Following this stellar run, Ariehri flew out to Norway, where he is expected to train with Lillestrøm until he can officially sign his contract in January.
Reports confirm that the young forward has already signed a pre-contract agreement with the Norwegian side, paving the way for his permanent move to European football.
The Nigerian starlet also showcased his talent at the Gothia Cup in Sweden, scoring eight goals to drive Beyond Limits to the semi-finals, where they narrowly lost to Sporting Lagos.
Across various competitions, Ariehri finished the season with a remarkable tally of 42 goals, making him a promising addition to Lillestrøm SK.
For a player who has already broken records and inspired his teams to victories, this latest step could be the beginning of an illustrious career on the international stage.
