Omah Lay also touched on the dynamics within the Nigerian music scene, dispelling the myth that all artists are close friends. “There’s a lot of love, but also competition, and that’s what makes the industry thrive,” he noted. “When everyone is relaxed, it doesn’t drive innovation. But we’re not at odds; it’s healthy competition. I just want to make better music and be the best.”

Omah Lay has become a standout figure in the Nigerian music landscape. He first captured attention in 2020 with hit singles “You” and “Bad Influence,” showcasing his unique style and talent.
