The Nigeria international is attracting interest from the Premier League after a sensational first few months in Turkey
Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu could be set on a return to the Premier League with four English top flight clubs interested in his services, Soccernet.ng reports.
Burnley, Fulham, West Ham United, and Brentford are the four clubs monitoring Onuachu’s situation in Turkey with a view to making a possible move for the Nigerian forward in January, according to transfer expert Ekrem Konur.
Head coach Vincent Kompany has seen his Burnley side struggle to get goals in the Premier League after gaining promotion last term and the former Manchester City captain is exploring the prospect of bolstering the lineup with the acquisition of Onuachu.
The interest in Onuachu extends beyond Burnley, with several other clubs expressing keen interest in the player. FC Brentford, West Ham United, and Fulham are also eyeing Onuachu.
The former Genk striker, currently on loan from Southampton to Trabzonspor, has attracted attention due to his notable performances.
During the ongoing season at Trabzonspor, Onuachu has left a significant impact, finding the back of the net eight times and providing two assists in 13 games in the Turkish Super Lig.
However, any potential move for Onuachu comes with a substantial financial consideration.
Having made the switch from Genk in last year’s winter transfer window for a fee of 18 million euros, Onuachu remains under contract with Southampton until 2026.
According to Transfermarkt, his current market value stands at 13 million euros.
