The MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) have released their nominees list for this year’s show, with Rema and Burna Boy earning multiple nominations in three major categories.

Rema was nominated in the Best Song, Best Collaboration, and Best African Act categories for his hit single ‘Calm Down’ featuring American singer Selena Gomez. Meanwhile, Burna Boy was nominated in the Best Live and Best African Act categories.

Other Nigerian stars nominated for the European award show include Asake, Ayra Starr, and Davido, all of whom were nominated in the Best African Act category.

In 2022, Tems was nominated in the Best New Artiste category. She was the only Nigerian act nominated at the award show last year.

The annual global music award show will be held at the French exhibition hall, Paris Nord Villepinte, on Sunday, November 5, 2023.
