Enyimba is one of the biggest clubs in the country, and Kanu would look to keep them at the top
Retired Super Eagles star Kanu Nwankwo has instructed all the staff or Enyimba to re-apply for their positions at the club with immediate effect, Soccernet reports.
The 46-year-old was just appointed as the Chairman of current Nigeria Professional Football League champions Enyimba in early July. It is Kanu’s first major job in club management, and he would have to make the right decisions to keep the two-time CAF Champions League winners at the top.
In his first major decision at the club, Kanu has instructed the entire staff of Enyimba to re-apply for their jobs. This was announced via a letter signed by the Sporting director Ifeanyi Ekwueme.
Kanu’s appointment at Enyimba is a breath of fresh air at the club, as Anyasi Agwu, who just left the seat, had been in charge since 1999.
His decision would affect the head coach Finidi George and all members of the technical staff. However, they could return to their positions once they comply.
