Onuachu just sealed his move to Southampton on deadline day, but he may have to wait till next week before making his debut
Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu is set to miss Southampton’s fixture against Brentford because of his inability to secure his work permit in England.
Onuachu sealed an €18million move to Premier League strugglers Southampton on deadline day of the transfer window.
However, the big 28-year-old goal-poacher may have to wait a while before getting his first minutes with the Saints.
There are reports from Complete Sports that Onuachu is struggling to get his work permit in England, as such, he will not be able to feature for the saints.
Still, because of his 16 caps for Nigeria, Onuachu and Southampton may be able to find their way around it just in time for the game.
The Saints are desperately fighting for survival in the English top flight, and coach Jones would hope that his newest signing would help them preserve their Premier League status.
