The Rossoneri are the latest club to be bewitched by the natural attacking instincts of the gifted young winger
PSV forward Chukwunonso ‘Noni’ Madueke has caught the attention of the powers that be at AC Milan after impressing against the Italian champions in a club friendly a few days ago.
Madueke was the star of the show – the young winger scored twice – as PSV ran out 3-0 winners over AC Milan at the Philips Stadion on Friday night.
The 20-year-old attacker’s display is believed to have impressed Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara.
And according to Corriere dello Sport (via Daily Milan), the reigning Serie A champions could approach PSV in the coming days to negotiate a deal for Madueke ahead of the summer.
The Rossoneri are, however, not the only Italian club interested in Noni Madueke as reports suggest both Inter Milan and Atalanta have been monitoring the development of the youngster.
Madueke’s international future
Born in Barnet, England, to parents of Nigerian heritage, Madueke is eligible to play for both countries.
England are at the forefront of securing his allegiance having integrated the youngster into their youth system.
Madueke has represented England at U16, U17, U18, and U21 levels and was a member of the Young Lions squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2021.
The PSV number ten however remains eligible to play for Nigeria as he is yet to play for the Three Lions.
Nigeria have a history of convincing players of dual nationalities to feature for the Super Eagles. Alex Iwobi, Victor Moses, Ola Aina, Josh Maja, Joe Aribo, and several others all snubbed the Three Lions to play for the three-time African champions.
AC Milan interested in Lookman
Noni Madueke is not the only Nigerian player that is on the transfer radar of AC Milan.
The Rossoneri have recently been linked with a move for Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman who has been a superb signing for Atalanta.
The Nigeria international has managed seven goals and two assists in 15 games for the Goddess.
